Just got a call from the Dealer - Burliegh cars . Yes.. Its NOT THE original paint.
The original colour was [drum roll please...]
TURISMO !!

It looks pretty good in white but I kinda like that shape in Turismo....

Still not too sure why you would change something as beautiful as a CV8 front for the Commondore look but to each their own...As I said before it is quite individual interesting to see if it turns up at the next Nationals..
No doubt about it I gotta get another hat!Image

HAH! Shoulda been a defective. :lol:

On the Turismo -> white change, I have heard that Turismo is a pig to paint match. So if the car was banged up in a major way it might have been
cheaper/easier to repaint the whole thing in white...which then begs the question: was the car badly bent at some point?

Monaro front end too hard to source perhaps??????

Yeah, maybe... I wouldn't have thought these were old enough yet to be "NLA" from GMH, though?

Do you recall seeing a V2 with a Commodore front on it, down at "Monaros in the Spotlight"? I think someone there said that it was a victim of a bender and the guy had opted to do a commode front, just to be different. Like you say...whatever floats yer boat.
