There is already a 2 door VE coupe running around - I saw it at Summernats 2013.

I did take some photos of it but I can't find them - will check my photo files when I get home.

If GM think they can build 4 cyl front wheel driven shitboxes Chevy products in China & ship them over here & expect us to buy them, then they are sadly out of touch with us Aussies.

Looks as though my next new car will be an Audi.

Sadly Wes...I think you're probably wrong.
Idiot Joe Aussie will buy any piece of crap if the price is low enough. Noticed a few Captivas running around? Noticed Holden's advertising pitching "Think SUV. Think Holden."? They just left off the words "Shit Box".

Don't even get me started on the sort of mentality that would lead someone to plonking down *ANYTHING* on a (not so) "Great Wall" or a "Chery"(bomb). Having said that, do you recall what absolute pieces of shit the original Hyundais (that Alan Bond imported) were? I have no doubt that these fridges-on-wheels will eventually become decent cars and in the meantime Tight-Arse Teddy and Purse-Shy Polly will fund their development.

And the Aussie politicians who let our manufacturing industry die will be sitting back, receiving their hard earned "pension" (after 2 arduous 3-year stints sleeping in the back row of parliament house, why wouldn't they deserve an annual taxpayer funded amount that's more $ than you or I will ever earn?), sipping cocktails somewhere and patting themselves on the back for a Job Well Done.

*climbs off soap box*

Unfortunately mate I think you are right.

Funny enough, with motorsports here in OZ, everyone loves the Red V Blue but most drive overseas built crap.

As i stated yesterday, I have NEVER, nor will I EVER see - an All KIA Day, All Great Wall Day or the All Hyundai Day - yet ozzies buy these pieces of shit - NOT me!

After a similar discussion at All Holden Day yesterday and a certain person stating in the background that the Holden executive who awarded a member's car the Holden Award (perpetual trophy and well deserved I might ad) that "He wont have a job soon" it totally befuddles me that we, as the "silent majority" haven't had enough yet. We are not all of one voice stating that enough is enough of the lies and spin that is destroying us.

I'm sick of the religion bashing and the false subjects to get angry about and the "love it or leave" rhetoric and the pollution of the Southern Cross into some redneck symbol. The point is we are all aussies, believe it or not and we are sitting back and letting this stuff happen.

We voted this mob in. This is both at State and Commonwealth level on their promises and neither have come anywhere near the mark.

The Labor party are excellent at spin, the Liberal party are just arrogant.

Believe me, none of you have the mandate to destroy the country as you all are, no matter what you think...

C'mon aussies let's stop fighting each other, the vast majority of "working people" and tell the politicians what WE think and what WE want..

Time we value added our vote cause the country value ads nothing. I reckon the unemployment rate is a lot higher than we are conned into believe with their stats. We are conned in every facet of public life, be it jobs, our future, road safety...everything.

I have been very fortunate to see a great deal of the world and mix with a great many cultures and sample life. The more I have seen, the more I realise that the more different we are, the more we are the same.

Just about everyone wants the same thing, the best for our kids and to live a peaceful life and have a bit of fun. It is politics, fanaticism and ambition that is the enemy.

Business and money run the world now. All of those truisms like "money is the root of all evil" are probably MORE relevant today than ever.

What happened to the Real Australia and Australian ideals, a fair go for all..

Now I step down from the soapbox...
